About Us
The Bristol Prostate Cancer Research Network BPCRN was established in 2010. Since its establishment BPCRN has developed an integrated and collaborative approach among all individuals, organisations and governments involved in prostate cancer research throughout Bristol and beyond. Some of our collaborators are the North Bristol NHS Trust, University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, University of the West of England, and the University of Bristol.
This collaboration means BPCRN is constantly developing new translational prostate cancer research and clinical trials which will bring together researchers in different research and academic institutes to share knowledge, resources and technology with our medical team.
Through our awarded funds and grants cancer health care professionals, including nurses, consultants are able to evaluate and improve the quality of prostate cancer treatment and its care. BPCRN team and collaborators are currently involved in a variety of research programs to promote the early detection of prostate cancer and provide quality, up-to-date information about prostate cancer to inform future policy, health planning and better care for the general public.
